PHASE ONE OF THE GOVTECH PROGRAM – Selection of Public Sector Challenges
The first phase of the GovTech Program is dedicated to identifying public sector challenges for which no adequate solution currently exists on the market. The goal of this phase is to give public administration institutions the opportunity to present their problems, after which innovative technological solutions will be developed for them in cooperation with startups and innovative companies.
Challenge Submission Process
1. Collecting Applications
The Innovation Fund, in cooperation with partners – UNDP, GIZ, science and technology parks, regional innovation startup centers, and the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities – identifies public institutions facing challenges that can be addressed through the application of new technologies. Institutions are supported in clearly formulating their challenges, after which final applications are collected through the partner network.
2. Challenge Submission
Public institutions have the opportunity to submit specific problems and challenges they encounter in their daily operations, for which there is no adequate standard solution available on the market.
3. Selection of Challenges
Based on clearly defined criteria, the Fund’s commission selects the most relevant challenges. For the selected challenges, the next phase of the program will seek innovative solutions from startups and other innovative entities.
Why is this phase important?
The first phase enables early identification of the real needs of public institutions and creates a platform for cooperation with the private sector, which can offer new, creative, and technologically advanced solutions.
