A Tool for Solving Environmental and Social Issues

With the growing need for environmental protection, innovations that combine technology and sustainability are becoming key drivers of development. The company Telespark from Belgrade, dedicated to the development of advanced technological solutions, recognized the challenges in the collection and sorting of packaging waste and developed Recyclo, a device that automates and optimizes this process, making recycling faster, more efficient, and more accessible.

"We developed this product by following the practices of the European Union and the regulations that are in place there, which will soon be applied in Serbia as well. Our goal was to create a solution that will not only be useful for environmental protection but also improve the working conditions of those involved in the recycling process," says Vladimir Milošević from Telespark.

Technology in the Service of Social Change

In Serbia, the collection and sorting of packaging waste is often carried out by socially vulnerable groups, whose work is hindered by poor conditions and low income. These obstacles further complicate one of the most important environmental activities – recycling. The innovative solution, Recyclo, has the potential to significantly improve their social and economic status by providing a simpler, safer, and more profitable way of working through an automated recycling system.

This device is not just a technological innovation – it also has a strong social impact. "Its introduction will change the way packaging waste is handled in Serbia, while simultaneously improving the position of those involved in this process," emphasize Telespark.

Support for innovations – the key to success

The development of innovative products depends not only on creativity and knowledge but also on structure, strategic direction, and clearly defined goals. The support from the Innovation Fund and EU funds was crucial, not only financially but also in the process of implementing the project. "The greatest value we received from the Fund, aside from the obvious financial support, is the guidance of the project, the clear definition of requirements, goals, and the framework within which we operate to achieve success," explains Milošević.

As waste management regulations in Serbia increasingly align with European standards, Telespark has already taken a step toward a sustainable future. Their innovative approach demonstrates how technology can become a powerful tool for addressing environmental and social challenges, paving the way for a new, more efficient recycling system that benefits both people and the environment.
