ExpoTech: Results of the Public Call
Innovations in Preparation for EXPO 2027
To integrate innovations developed in Serbia into the preparation and implementation of one of the most significant international events, the Innovation Fund has supported 21 projects of innovative enterprises through the ExpoTech program. Over the next nine months, these projects will focus on developing technological solutions for EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, which will be presented and demonstrated within the ExpoTech Pavilion.
The program enables innovative enterprises to present their solutions to a global audience, connecting them with potential investors, partners, and users. Through non-repayable financial support, it fosters the development of technologies in the fields of immersive and cognitive urban solutions, including smart infrastructure and the application of artificial intelligence.
The supported projects deliver concrete solutions aimed at enhancing the visitor experience, improving the management of large-scale events, and implementing sustainable approaches in real-world environments. The projects come from cities across Serbia, with the highest number of teams based in Belgrade, as well as Novi Sad, Niš, Šabac, Kragujevac, and Valjevo.
Solutions developed through the ExpoTech program contribute to the technological dimension of EXPO 2027 by introducing innovations in visitor interaction, spatial management, and the enhancement of digital experiences at large-scale events.
The public call for the ExpoTech program attracted strong interest from innovative enterprises, as evidenced by 92 submitted applications. The program is supported by the Government of the Republic of Serbia through the 2025 national budget, under the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, with a total allocation of RSD 254 million.
The ExpoTech program is part of the Fund’s broader engagement in the organisation of the ExpoTech Pavilion, which, under the patronage of the competent ministry and in cooperation with science and technology parks and regional startup centers, will showcase Serbia’s innovation ecosystem, from early-stage ideas to real-world applications.
