Funding of new companies based on innovative technologies

On Thursday, May 19th 2011, at Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy (TMF) in Belgrade the representatives of the Innovation Fund held the presentation with title “Funding of new companies based on innovative technologies”. The presentation was organized with aim to promote the science-related business opportunities in Serbia, and to stimulate R&D  commercialization in technology sciences.

The presentation was attended by over 100 post-graduate students and eminent professors from TMF. This indicates the large interest from young graduates to start their own business and in that manner make their findings real, as well as it indicates a consciousness about new opportunities for economy growth in Serbia.

Together with the Innovation Fund, the Business Technology Incubator of Technical Faculties in Belgrade has presented their extended capabilities for newly established spin-off companies from TMF. The capabilities include the support to students and professors in terms of acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship, legal- and business advisory- services, intellectual property protection, and the use of modern equipped space at beneficial prices. The Incubator is providing also great networking opportunities and promotions for those young companies.

The seminar was held by Jovanka Ostojic, Program Manager Mini Grants; Dusan Kosic, Program Manager Partnership; and by Gordana Danilovic-Grkovic, Director of Business Technology Incubator.
