The Fund hosts Libyan innovation authority

Biomaterials and regenerative medicine, innovation management and cooperation between the Research and Development and commercial sectors are the fields of operation of the Libyan Authority for Research, Science and Technology (LA’STAR), whose representatives visited the Innovation Fund and the Scientific Park “Beograd” today.

The visit was organized as part of the cooperation between the Fund and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering’s Innovation Centre, the host of the Libyan delegation. The LA’STAR delegation consisted of LA’STAR Prof. Faisal R. Mohamed PhD, general manager, and Prof. Ramadan Almadani PhD, head of the planning department.

“To our Libyan counterparts, we presented the results of our previous projects and our current programs. Since cooperation between the R&D and commercial sectors is one of their focal areas, our latest financial instrument, the Grant Scheme Program, attracted their particular attention. It is always good to exchange experiences, to see that we share the same challenges, and offer and get good ideas and solutions“, says Ivan Rakonjac, Innovation Fund’s interim managing director.

As part of its mandate to establish international cooperation with similar organizations, in addition to the Libyan colleagues, the Innovation Fund has in recent months hosted delegations from innovation organizations from Georgia, Belarus, and Brazil.
