Regional cooperation in the field of innovation

The Minister of Science and Technology of the Republika Srpska Alen Seranic visited today the Innovation Fund for the purpose of strengthening cooperation and exchange of experiences in the field of support for the development of innovations.
 
On this occasion, the director of the Innovation Fund Ivan Rakonjac presented the way of functioning and activities of the Fund and emphasized the importance of expanding the cooperation in the region, so that the field of innovation would be a link for closer ties and achievement of the common goals of economic development.
 
"The experience of the Innovation Fund is very useful for us and it will certainly help us in the process of establishing an institution for supporting innovation in the Republika Srpska," said Alen Sarenic, Minister of Science and Technology of Republika Srpska.
 
He pointed out that through the work of this future institution, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Republika Srpska will endeavor to encourage young people to start their businesses, develop new ideas and conquer new markets.
 
"We need innovations, higher allocations for scientific research and the creation of conditions for building an innovative ecosystem. It is precisely the project that we discussed that is the basis for closer cooperation between Serbia and the Republika Srpska in this area," stated Alen Sarenic, Minister of Science and Technology of Republika Srpska.
 
"The Innovation Fund will provide full support for the founding of a related institution. We are pleased that we can share our experience and good practice with our colleagues from the Republika Srpska," said Ivan Rakonjac, director of the Innovation Fund, adding that innovation support contributes to the development of a knowledge-based economy.
