Aria Academy: Digital Magic оf Music Education for Children

04.11.2026

Music has always been a universal language that sparks imagination, inspires creativity, and shapes childhood. With the desire to bring this world of notes and rhythms closer to young children in a modern and fun way, the Belgrade music school “Čarobna frula”, with the support of the Innovation Fund and the European Union, developed the mobile app Aria Academy. In this way, preschool music education has, for the first time, found its interactive digital format.

Aria Academy introduces music to children in the way closest to them, through play. The app lets kids explore notes, rhythms, and instruments while discovering their own talent and the joy of creating. “Music sparks imagination, and play is the best teacher. That is why we created an app that turns first steps in music into an interactive and unforgettable experience,” says Bojana Gavrilović Nestorović, director and founder of the “Čarobna frula” music school.

The same vision of making music accessible to every child is shared by Iva Radulović, co-founder and teacher at the school: “Music has the power to shape character and develop creativity. That’s why our wish for Aria Academy is to cross local borders and to become a part of childhood for children around the world.”

Easy to use and available at any time, the app creates a learning adventure that naturally nurtures a love for art. Playful illustrations, an intuitive interface, and rich educational content introduce concepts such as notes, the treble clef, measures, and instruments, while the option to listen and repeat melodies allows children to sing or play whenever they like.

Developing the app required combining expertise and experience from several fields. Music teachers, composers, and psychologists teamed up with IT engineers to transform traditional music teaching methods into a digital format. The result of this collaboration is content that is both educational and engaging, designed for children’s curiosity, yet simple enough to support learning at home or in preschool.

Aria Academy shows how tradition and technology can come together in the service of education. This innovative solution, which takes a unique approach to music education, sets new standards in early childhood learning.

Support from key institutions was crucial in turning a pedagogical vision into a functional digital product. This partnership demonstrates that systemic engagement can help creative ideas from teachers and artists reach a wider community and gain international success.

“Čarobna frula” continues its mission to discover and encourage young talents, build new generations of musicians, and create modern tools that meet the needs of both children and the education system. This is not only the success of one school but also a contribution to the entire community and a clear message that investing in creativity means investing in a society that wants to grow and move forward. Because music is not just art, music is the driver of the future.
