AI system for continuous temperature monitoring

In the world of medical technology, where innovations are being developed on a daily basis, Baby FM stands out as a pioneer in the domain of baby health monitoring. The system for continuous temperature monitoring, which consists of a sensor device and a sophisticated Baby FM mobile application, allows users to monitor temperature changes in real time and receive relevant notifications.

Smart design

Baby FM smart sensor, fitted into a cotton strap positioned around the chest or under the armpit, continuously measures body temperature, and sends data to an application which displays them in the form of intuitive diagrams. Users can easily set alarms for specific temperature thresholds, which enable them to take immediate actions in case of potential changes.

Although created for babies, all family members will be able to use this health support system in the future. It is necessary to develop adjustable straps that all generations of household members will be able to use.

Artificial intelligence in action

What distinguishes Baby FM from other similar devices present on the market is the integration of artificial intelligence. “Our company has developed advanced algorithms that analyze temperature patterns to predict potential health problems. This technology is able to identify patterns associated with different types of infections, including viral and bacterial ones. This enables making a faster and more accurate decision, which can be of crucial importance for medical experts”, says Tamara Papić, director of the company Baby FM.

Challenges and support of the Innovation Fund

As a medical device, Baby FM has been subjected to a rigorous product documentation process to comply with all regulations and standards. “This was a significant challenge, but with the support of the Innovation Fund through the Mini Grants Program, we managed to overcome all obstacles. The Fund enables us to complete the crucial stages of product development, prepare the product for certification and ensure its appearance on the market”, says director Papić.

Thanks to the funding provided by the European Union through the Fund, Baby FM not only became a functional product, but also started attracting potential partners. This summer, in cooperation with the DokTOk platform for quick and easy scheduling of video calls with doctors, they launched a campaign for the healthcare digitization. The objective of this joint venture is to improve the quality of healthcare through the integration of advanced technologies into everyday life. In particular, parents' concerns can be reduced to a minimum when they know that based on relevant information about the baby's temperature, they can contact an available pediatrician and receive a recommendation for treating the baby in the shortest period of time possible. In addition to saving time for determining the diagnosis and treatment, the collaboration between Baby FM and DokTOk significantly reduces the stress level of parents and proves that advanced technologies, when used in a meaningful way, can result in numerous benefits.

Synergistic effect of collaboration

Connecting and collaborating with innovative companies not only enhances individual business goals but also contributes to broader social progress through the development of advanced solutions that can address complex challenges. Given that both Baby FM and DokTOk have developed their products with the support of the Innovation Fund, the significance of their collaboration is even greater. They exemplify how a joint venture can be a path to finding comprehensive solutions. Besides directly improving the quality of healthcare, their partnership serves as a significant encouragement to other companies to achieve a synergistic effect in various fields through the development of joint projects, shared resources and technologies, and knowledge exchange. Collaboration can lead to better results for end-users and accelerate the integration of new technologies into everyday life, benefiting society as a whole.
