In anticipation of the Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade, the Innovation Fund is launching the ExpoTech Program, a new support instrument aimed at developing and implementing cutting-edge technological solutions that showcase Serbia’s strong innovation ecosystem and growing technological potential.

ExpoTech is one of the key activities within the cooperation between the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation and Expo 2027 Belgrade, established through an agreement that defines a long-term framework for the development and application of technological solutions of national importance.

The program enables innovative companies to present their solutions to a global audience during Expo 2027 Belgrade, connecting them with a network of potential investors, partners and end users. Through grant funding of up to RSD 12 million per project, ExpoTech supports the development of technologies that shape the future of urban environments, ranging from immersive technologies to cognitive systems for cities, including smart infrastructure and solutions based on artificial intelligence.

The supported technological solutions will be implemented and demonstrated during the exhibition in real environments, as part of activities accompanying the thematic segments of the event. Companies will have the opportunity to test their innovations in practice, under conditions that ensure their visibility and demonstrate their applicability. The goal of the program is for the most successful domestic solutions to be presented to the global audience as examples of how technology can enhance urban life and everyday living.

The public call for participation in the ExpoTech Program is open until December 19, 2025, at 12:00 noon, and applications are submitted electronically through the Innovation Fund portal. All information regarding participation conditions, eligibility criteria and required documentation is available in the manual and call documentation published on the Fund’s website.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia, through the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, has provided RSD 254 million for the implementation of the Fund’s program. Funding is expected for approximately 20 innovative solutions, with implementation planned to last between six and nine months. During this period, participants will develop, test and refine their technologies to prepare them for application at Expo 2027 in Belgrade. The program represents a step towards the broader application of domestic innovations and the strengthening of their visibility on the international stage.
