Bodytech, a Belgrade start-up, has developed Active Pad – a product for the prevention of decubitus ulcers in long-term immobile patients. The product utilizes tunable, human-effective vibrations throughout an ergonomic design, in order to stimulate blood circulation in tissue under pressure. The system was developed in collaboration with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Belgrade.

Chromosome Group, with offices located in Belgrade and operations in Niš, is a start-up focusing on mechanical engineering and process automation. The company has developed an automated device for filling, sealing and packaging of plastic containers with liquid fertilizers. The new user-friendly product enables controlled release of the plant fertilizer through micro filters without direct contact of the user with the fertilizer, which makes it suitable for household application.

The creators of the “Interactive ABC Book”, Coprix Media from Belgrade, have developed an interactive educational application for touch-sensitive devices, like tablets and smart phones. “InterActive Mathematics” is a cross-platform application fully adapted to the needs of preschool and primary school children, both in terms of functionality (i.e. the natural feeling when using the device for learning) and the quality of learning.

In the first two years after the project completion, the company generated revenue of more than EUR 70,000 from the sales of the new product, including sale contracts with the universities in Leuven (Belgium) and Oldenburg (Germany).
