STRONG STARTUP COMMUNITY INTEREST FOR THE KATAPULT PROGRAM

The third public call for participation in the Кatapult Acceleration Program closed today at noon. Our startup community has expressed significant interest and needs support in accelerating business development and conquering the global market.

Since the public call was initiated in July of this year, we have received a total of 114 applications.

 In accordance with the selection procedures, after verifying the fulfillment of formal application requirements, the Fund's team will direct eligible companies to an international independent evaluation conducted by technical reviewers and the Selection Committee.

Startups with the highest ratings will advance to the final selection round, where the most qualified will get the opportunity for a live pitch presentation to the members of the independent Committee. The decision on the pre-selection is expected by the end of December, while the finalization of the procedure for the final selection of companies for participation in the acceleration program is expected in mid-February 2024.

Financing for Katapult is provided by the Republic of Serbia (Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation), through a 7.7 million euro World Bank loan with implementation support, and the European Union, through a 10 million euro grant. The program is part of the "Serbia Accelerating Innovation and Growth Entrepreneurship Project," dedicated to strengthening innovative entrepreneurship and scientific research.
