Public Call for the Mini and Matching Grants Programme Closed

Today, at 15:00, the deadline for submitting proposals for innovative projects for the Mini Grants Program and the Matching Grants Program has expired. The public call was open for three months, between March 28 and July 1, 2019.

In the upcoming period, the Innovation Fund team will be checking the suitability of submitted applications. All projects that meet eligibility requirements will be referred to an international independent assessment conducted by technical reviewers and a five-member Investment Committee. After the first phase of the evaluation, the best projects will have the opportunity to present their innovations live in front of the Investment Committee, after which the final decision on financing based on the quality of the projects and the available funds defined for the public call is made. The decision on the shortlist is expected at the end of August, while finalization of the final selection procedure for financing of projects is expected at the end of September 2019.

A total of EUR 4.5 million has been provided this year to support the innovative activities of small and medium enterprises from the IPA project „New Products and Services Developed by SMEs Through Research Commercialization“, of which EUR 4.1 million is intended for direct financing of innovative projects.
